Hi Syahidah,
Unfortunately, it is impossible for you to take both courses at the same time as both are full-time programmes, and are already heavy on their own. You will not be able to cope with the workload and maintain your grades.
Right now, you have the choices of dropping out of your foundation in Science and proceed to continue your studies in A-levels, or finish your foundation and then enroll in A-levels. We would advice you to choose the former. The latter option will not be the best choice. Both will cost you time and money as you have already enrolled in the foundation course. But, if you are really invested in studying abroad and are just in your first semester of Foundation, we suggest that you drop out of your foundation course and proceed with A-levels so that you do not waste more time.
Technically, Foundation is mostly accepted only at the university that offers this qualification. But some other universities will also consider this. So if you're already half way through your Foundation, we suggest you complete it then apply to an overseas institution. Of course, A-levels is the safest option. Perhaps you could check with the university first if they require A-levels or if Foundation is acceptable too before you proceed with this decision.
Hope this clarifies your doubt. We wish you the best of luck!

Hey there Jainudin,
1) Well the fees for the Marketing and Law degree of Aberystwyth University in the UK would cost so much more in comparison to studying it here in Malaysia. Brickfields Asis College (BAC) has a collaboration with the university and offers a 3+0 programme. This means that you will complete 3 years of studies at BAC while obtaining your qualification at Aberystwyth University. It costs RM20,000 per year
2) There are no internal scholarships at the moment but you can apply for external ones offered by foundations and other companies. Browse through the list of scholarships here (https://afterschool.my/scholarship). As for loans you can apply for PTPTN or PPBU.
Hope this helps you and if you have any more query, just ask away :)

Hi Zahiruddin,
According to the rankings and specialisations of each public university, we would suggest that you choose UM as it is a university that specialises in engineering. It is also ranked at 22 on the QS World Rankings in regards to engineering and is the best university in Malaysia. USM ranks at 60 while UMS did not make it into the ranking.
Hope this helps.

Hello Danusha,
Unfortunately, UNISEL does not offer dentistry or pharmaceutical courses. The closest courses offered that relate to the medical line is medical imaging, medical laboratory technology, and nursing.
However, if your daughter is really interested in either the dentistry or pharmaceutical line, there are universities that offer both these courses and grant 100% scholarship automatically to students that have straight As. One example of this is SEGi University Kota Damansara. They offer a 100% scholarship for students who have achieved 10As for their SPM, but they will also consider straight A students who have fewer than 10As on a case-by-case basis. If your daughter chooses to enroll in SEGi University, she will need to complete her foundation in science first before heading on to complete her degree in either pharmacy or dental surgery.
You can fill in your daughter's details on the top right column here: https://afterschool.my/segi-university-and-colleges-kota-damansara and we will contact her shortly to help with her admission to SEGi and guide her towards a pathway in the medical field.
Looking forward to contacting her soon :)

Hi Faiz,
There're 3 ways to apply to UM. 1) through UPU 2) second intake 3) international degree programme (IDP)
As for the first option, a diploma from a private university will give you limited options to choose from UM. You can head over to UPU's official website to check out the courses you're eligible to apply for here: https://online.mohe.gov.my/upu/epanduan/syarat/vMenuSyarat.php?jenprog=stpm&pagefunc=syaratByIPTA&carian1=M&carian2=E&carian3=E3
Second intakes allow students to directly apply to the university so this depends if the university accepts your qualification. You can try to call them to enquire about this as they are the ones who handle student admissions.
UM will accept your diploma from a private uni through IDP but do note that you will have to pay the fees similar to a private university as this is not subsidised by the government.
If money is not an issue and you really want to get in UM, IDP is the best option for you.
Hope this has clarified your doubts. Feel free to ask if you have any more queries

Hello Amirah,
Biomedical science is a degree that focuses on cells, organs, and the system functions of the human body, which is highly relevant to understanding and finding new treatment methods for human sickness and diseases. Take note however, that this degree does not offer a medical training or license.
The study pathway of biomedical science is after your matriculation, you will be completing your Bachelors in Biomedical Science. The entry requirements for each university defers so you will have to make your choice depending on your matriculation results.
As for whether UKM or USM is better, the world university rankings by biological science subjects on QS World Rankings show that USM is ranked 251-300, while UKM is ranked 351 - 400. Choosing the best university will also depend on your own personal preferences, such as location, fees, accommodation choices, etc. But if your main concern is their rankings, then USM would be a better option.
