Hi Farah,
You can browse through the scholarship list here and see which ones you are eligible to apply for: https://afterschool.my/scholarship If none of them are suitable for you, you can also apply for the university's internal scholarship once you get a placement there.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, you cannot. Foundation programmes are designed for students to pursue their degree in the same institution. This applies even more so to Foundation programmes at public universities other than UM and UiTM because they are closed Asasi programmes. Only students enrolled in the open Asasi programmes that is available in UM and UiTM are eligible to apply for degree in other public universities. Asasi programmes are not recognised overseas.
Hope this answers your question.

Hi Toh,
That would not be the best option for you. If you have set your sights on practicing Medicine in Malaysia, it's best to do your entire study programme and housemanship in Malaysia itself because of the recognition. Malaysia only recognise some Medical degrees from overseas institutions. All Medical graduates are required to be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council to practice Medicine in Malaysia. According to MMC, medical graduates who hold a basic medical degree from institutions not listed in the Second Schedule, Medical Act 1971, he or she will be required to sit and pass the Examination for Provisional Registration (EPR) that consists of theory and clinical components. This exam is held twice a year.
So technically, you can study overseas and practice here, but you'll need to take the exam first to ensure that you meet the requirements of a doctor and know how its done in Malaysia. You can check out if your university is listed here: http://www.mmc.gov.my/index.php/list-of-medical-institution
Furthermore, all Medical Officers in Malaysia MUST undergo housemanship before they can become a doctor.
Hope this helps.

Hi Foo Yoong,
The top engineering universities in Malaysia are UM, UKM, UPM, USM, UTM and UTP according to Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings. If you want to limit it to only those in Kuala Lumpur, then there are not many choices to choose from. Institutions in Kuala Lumpur offering this course are UCSI, Herriot-Watt, TAR UC, UniKL, UM and Nottingham. The best among these is, of course, UM.

Hi Farisha,
A diploma in english for communication can lead you to become an English teacher in tuition centres but not in schools, nor university level because they would require a higher level of qualification such as a bachelor or masters. Upon completing your diploma in this field, you should pursue degree in English and communication as well and preferably masters in this field also to have more job opportunities.
To be a lecturer at a university, you will need at least a Bachelor's Degree. If you want to specialise in teaching English, it's best if you enrol for a Diploma or Asasi in TESL now then continue your degree in TESL later on. UniSZA and UiTM offer this course so you can check it out.
Careers you can pursue with this degree are vast. You can be a writer, teacher, editor, content manager, journalist, social media manager, etc.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your application! :)

Hi Fatin,
Pre-University is a study level that consists of STPM, Asasi, Matrikulasi, A-Levels, Foundation, IB, ADTP, CPU, AUSMAT, etc. They are all categorised under 'pre-university' level. Each of them have their own pros and cons, some being more affordable, some leading you to study at overseas institutions, some have a shorter duration, etc. Diploma is also the same level but people generally call diploma just as it is. A diploma is more specific than other pre-u programmes. For example, there are only a few streams in Foundation such as science, arts, engineering, business, etc. But for diploma, you have Diploma in Information Technology or Business and Accounting, etc. This article explains in detail what all these courses entail: https://afterschool.my/find-course/which-pre-u-course-should-you-choose
Hi Koo, Could you please clarify which course is this for so we can give you a more detailed answer? Thank you :)
