Unit Pengambilan Universiti or UPU is the division which handles the applications of Malaysian students to all 20 public universities (IPTA). UPUOnline is the online system created by UPU to process these applications.
SPM/Setaraf
Category A - SPM 2018
Category B - SPM 2017, SPM 2016
Category A – STPM 2018 Sastera Stream
Category S – STPM 2017 Science Stream
Category T – STAM 2017 and 2018
Category N – BMKPM Science Stream/ PASUM/ Asasi UiTM
Category P – BMKPM Accounting Stream
Category U – Asasi Law Stream UiTM
Category K – Asasi Engineering Stream UiTM
Category L -Asasi TESL Stream UiTM
Category J – Asasi Technical Stream UiTM
Category E – (E1) Diploma DKM/DLKM, (E2) Diploma DVM, (E3) Diploma LL
Category F – (F1) A-Levels, (F2) IB, (F3) Sports School, (F4) STPM Bukan Tahun Semasa, (F5) Matriculation KPM Bukan Tahun Semasa, (F6) STAM, (F7) AUSMAT, SAM, CPU, (F8) Foundation IPTS
Category G- (G1) Diploma from a Public University, (G2) Diploma from a Polytechnic University.
Rayuan UPU is the period in which students who applied but were not offered places at any universities will be allowed to apply once again for UPU, this time with limited courses at selected institutions. Students who are eligible for Rayuan UPU must have:
Applied during the initial UPU application period
Not received ANY offers from universities during the first phase of applications. Students who were offered spots for courses are not allowed to participate in Rayuan UPU.
There are only two categories when it comes to purchasing UPU pins for 2019.
SPM/Setaraf: for students who will apply using their SPM results.
STPM/Setaraf: for students who will apply using their Pre university/diploma results.
