Biasiswa ini adalah kerjasama antara City University dan portal popular Free Malaysia Today. Dana biasiswa ini bernilai RM2.5 juta.
Program Biasiswa City U - FMT disediakan untuk peringkat Pra-U, Asasi, Diploma & Ijazah di 8 fakulti dan 28 bidang pengajian termasuk Perniagaan & Perakaunan, Sains Kesihatan Bersekutu, Alam Bina & Persekitaran Binaan, Seni & Reka Bentuk, Pendidikan & Kajian Liberal , Kejuruteraan, Perhotelan & Pelancongan, dan juga IT di City University Malaysia.
Tarikh tutup permohonan adalah selepas 4 minggu keputusan SPM/STPM diumumkan.
Kriteria
Pemohon mesti memenuhi semua keperluan di bawah
- Warganegara Malaysia sahaja.
- Program pengajian sepenuh masa sahaja
- Pemohon memperolehi sekurang-kurangnya 5C atau lebih tinggi dalam SPM / UEC / setaraf (untuk program Asasi / Diploma).
- Pemohon mendaoat sekurang-kurangnya 3.00 PNGK di STPM / UEC / Asasi / Diploma atau setaraf (untuk program Ijazah).
- Pemohon tidak boleh terikat atau menerima bantuan kewangan atau biasiswa dari organisasi lain.
- Nota : Sesetenhah kursus pengajian memerlukan kelayakan akademik yang lebih tinggi

Biasiswa diberikan hanya dalam bentuk pengecualian yuran pengajian dan tidak boleh dipindahkan kepada individu lain, ditukar dengan wang tunai atau faedah kewangan lain atau diubah suai

- Pemohon hendaklah melengkapkan Borang Permohonan Biasiswa dan menghantar bersama dokumen sokongan yang diperlukan secara dalam talian, sebelum tarikh tutup.
- Semua dokumen sokongan yang dihantar dalam talian hendaklah dalam bentuk PDF.
- Tarikh tutup - 4 minggu selepas pengumuman keputusan SPM / STPM.
- Pemohon boleh membuat permohonan menggunakan Ramalan SPM
