Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance

SPM : Pass with 3 credits/3Cs including Mathematics and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject AND pass in English

O-Levels : Pass with 3 credits/3Cs including Mathematics and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject AND pass in English

UEC : Pass with 3Bs including Mathematics and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject AND pass in English

Degree in Aircraft Maintenance

STPM : A minimum CGPA of 2.80; Obtained at least Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in Mathematics and Physics

A-levels : Have at least three principal passes

UEC : Please refer to the relevant university

SAM/AUSMAT : Please check with the relevant university

Canadian (CIMP/ICPU) : Please check with the relevant university

Foundation : Please check with relevant university

Matriculation : Please check with the relevant university

Diploma : Diploma recognised by the university’s senate

Master in Aircraft Maintenance

Master’s Degree (2-4 YEARS) :

A relevant first or second class Honours degree, or a degree qualification, or equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government, acceptable to the University.


Degree in communications with min CGPA 2.5 or third class honours or equivalent

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) :

A Master's Degree in relevant field and shows evidence of adequate related research or work experiences to satisfaction of Senate

A Master's Degree from other universities or equivalent qualification from an institution as approved by the Senate

Any other academic qualification equivalent to the first or second option from other universities that is  approved by the Senate

Foreign Students :

  • A-Levels

Have at least three principal passes


If English is not your first language, then evidence of proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 is required.

  • IB

Please check with the relevant university

Diploma deemed recognised by the Malaysian Government

Any other relevant qualification deemed recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Important Note: Studying a course in Aircraft Maintenance is not equivalent to obtaining a license to pilot a plane. You will need a specific license for that. .

Your theoretical knowledge is vital, most of what you will learn and proceed to do will involve a practical, hands-on approach, right up till you start working. You need to be both good with the books and good with your hands.


As you will be working with an airline company, you will have to be prepared to travel. Sometimes planes require surviving at different hangars. Sometimes, one of the million components would malfunction. Either way, you need to be ready to adapt to just about anything!
