Hi Donovann,
According to the GMI website as you can view here, upon completing A-Levels there is a placement for students to apply to the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Germany. This university does indeed offer chemical engineering as a degree course.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Afiqah,
There are plenty of job options and opportunities for a degree in Japanese Language. For example, you may work in various international organisations that would require professional and advanced use of the language. Besides that, employment within the education sector is also available for those who studied the Japanese language.
Hi Wan Aida,
Unfortunately, you are unable to enter an overseas university with a foundation programme. Foundation is a route into public universities only. You will have to undergo a different pre-u programme that allows for entry into overseas universities. The only exception is if the same university has an option of you to continue your degree overseas; even then, usually it would be in the second year and not the first year of your degree.
If you wish to go to a different local university, you will need to check the qualifications of that university whether they accept foundation students from other universities. Some do, but usually foundation students would continue their degree within the same university.
For more information about pre-u options, click here to read an article about it.

Hi Lim Shin Yau,
There are several elements that determine whether a bachelor's degree is inclusive of the 'Honours' or not.
Hope this clears it up for you!
Psychology
Master
Hi Nicole,
The master's degree offered in UKM is known as Master of Health Science (Hearing & Speech). Do note that it is a master's by research course.
The minimum requirements are as follows:
For more info about the course, do visit the official page here.
We wish you the best of luck!

SPM
Hi Aman Lew Ka Lock,
Principal passes refer to the grade; in this case, principal passes are grade C and above. Furthermore, 'one sitting' means that you completed the exams without repeating them; that is, you passed them in the first time that you took the exams.
Hope this clears it up!

Career Advice

Hi Hiew,
There are certainly pros and cons to any of the pathways you choose after SPM. It all depends on which one you prioritise the most.
A diploma programme is a good choice for those who wish to pursue a career immediately after their studies, as it typically takes 2-3 years to complete and you can enter the workforce upon completion. Besides that, certain diploma programmes have required internships attached to the programme, thus giving you ample experience and a glance into the working world. Depending on the field you choose and the industry it is in, you may even have a higher chance of securing a job compared to a degree holder. However, salaries may vary considerably with those of degree holders depending on the organisation.
With a degree, you may have a wider scope of job opportunities. Once again, it depends on the industry and whether you have significant experience as different employers and organisations prioritise differently. Since a degree would perhaps take longer to complete, you may not be able to gain experience during your degree as you would with a diploma programme.
Hope this helps to clear it up. Good luck!

Hi Nur Aisyah,
Yes, it is possible to do a double degree programme in Malaysia. There are several universities in Malaysia that offer double degree programmes, such as Monash University Malaysia, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, and UiTM beginning 2019. However, not only is a double degree programme it more demanding, but it is also more costly and takes a longer time to complete.
May we know which degree courses you are interested in?

Thank you for your response. The information you gave is very useful. Let’s say if I go for my bachelor degree in psychology and after this degree I would like to further my master degree in Speech Science in UKM, is it possible? What are the basic requirements needed for this course?
As long as your psychology degree was rooted in science-related subjects (i.e. a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as opposed to a Bachelor of Arts), you will be able to pursue a master's degree in speech pathology.
However, do note that speech pathology is not offered as a clinical master's course in Malaysia; there are very few universities that offer courses in speech pathology. For example, UKM offers both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in research in Hearing and Speech. Besides that, USM offers a bachelor's degree in speech pathology.
Hope this helps!
