Hi Emily, Unfortunately there is no diploma course for Anesthesiology as Anesthesiology is a specialized course. A student has to complete this pathway before becoming a Anaesthesiologist.
1. Pre-University (Foundation in Science, A-Levels) - 1 to 1.5 Years 2. MBBS Degree - 5 Years 3. Housemanship ( Internship) - 2 Years 4. Medical Officer - 1 Year
After completing all 4 stages, only then the student can proceed to specialize in Anaesthesiology (Masters Degree) - 3 to 5 years. Hence it takes around 13 years to become a fully qualified Anaesthesiologist.

Hi Aina,
There are 2 types of psychology fields: clinical and non-clinical. Non-clinical programmes are much more relaxed. They do not require you to be in a specific field to be eligible to enrol for a deg in psychology. So it doesn't matter which field you decide to venture in. You can opt for any pre-u programme such as Form 6, Foundation, A-Levels, ADTP, Diploma, etc. in any field and still be able to apply for a degree in psychology (non-clinical). If you've set your sights on non-clinical psychology, then its best to choose the arts stream as it will be easier for you to score. And if you want to study psychology specifically in pre-u, then you can opt for a diploma in psychology/counselling.
Clinical psychology programmes, on the other hand, are more stringent. They are part of an allied health science course and will require you to study Chemistry, Biology or Physics.
The difference between the two is their job scopes. Non-clinical psychology allows you to work as a counsellor in schools, kindergarten teacher, life coach, or in a HR department. A Clinical Psychologist is similar to doctors where they will work in hospitals, treat patients and prescribe medication

Hi again Nusrah,
1) Both STPM and Foundation can lead you to do those three courses. You just need to study the right subjects in order to meet the minimum requirements to apply for a degree in those fields, which is mainly Mathematics.
2) STPM is a public pre-u programme. It takes 1.5 years to complete but to enrol in a public university, you'll need to wait another 1/2 year for the next intake. This adds up to 2 years before you can actually start your degree course. Whereas Foundation only takes one year and you can enrol for a degree straight away in the same institution. You will complete your studies faster than those who take STPM. We would advise you to take Foundation as it is a better choice. Curtin Sarawak is one of the institutions that offer a Foundation in Commerce and Bachelor in Accounting and Finance. If you're interested, you can apply for it here and we will help you in the application process: https://afterschool.my/curtin-university-malaysia/foundation-studies-commerce
3) ACCA, CAT and LCCI are professional qualifications. You do not need to complete a pre-u programme to enrol for it. You can go straight to CAT or LCCI and then ACCA.
Good luck!

Hi Nusrah,
With an interest in those subjects, you could opt for a degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting or Mathematics. To get there, your next step after SPM is pre-university as it is a bridge to a degree programme. You should opt for a Foundation in Business / Commerce or Science but since you did not study pure science subjects, your only option is to study Foundation in Business / Commerce. Core subjects you should study are Mathematics, Accounting, Finance and Business Management which enable you to enrol for a degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting or Mathematics. Foundation will take one year and you can proceed to do your degree in the specific field of your choice. We would advise you to opt for either Actuarial Science or Accounting as they are higher in demand. However, do note that Actuarial Science is a very difficult course so be prepared to study hard. If you want to excel in Accounting, it's best to obtain a professional qualification. You can do so by enrolling for ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW or CIMA.

Grade means the category that your exam or course results are placed in, such as A, B, C, D...etc.Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the measurement of your average grade points obtained in all the semesters. It will be calculated with the categories of A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0...and so on. All these points from your grades are then added together and averaged out to get your CGPA.
Hope this helps :)
