COURSE OVERVIEW

This BSc Economics degree gives you an in-depth understanding of economic theory, and the skills you need to work in sectors like finance and commerce.

Year 1 modules will introduce you to the foundations and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, as well as related areas of economics.

In year two, you will gain a greater understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics, alongside applied econometrics and economics skills.

In your final year, you will undertake independent research and produce a dissertation on a related topic of your choice.

A-Level

AAB or ABBB including Mathematics (minimum grade B); excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking

IB Diploma

Pass with 34 points overall, 17 at Higher Level, including 5 points at Higher Level in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation)

STPM

A-A-B including Mathematics (minimum grade B); excluding General Studies.

UEC

AAAAA including Mathematics

English Language Requirements

IELTS 6.5 overall, minimum 6.0 in all components or Grade C in SPM 1119 English (cohort before 2021 ), SPM CEFR Level B2 or above (cohort from 2021 onwards), Grade C in GCSE English, Grade A in IGCSE English as a Second Language, B3 in UEC English or equivalent
