Hi Wan Fatimah Habibah, Mathematics is the study of number, quantity and space. Mathematics is an essential component in almost every aspect of our lives from the development of science and the characteristics that explain our universe to the basics of engineering, economics, medicine and even the environment. The branches of Mathematics include Mathematical Sciences, Economics and Computer Science. If you have a love for numbers, pursuing this field of study is perfect for you. Institutions that offer mathematics courses include UKM, UMS and UPM to name a few. For the full list of institutions that offer these courses, click here: https://afterschool.my/mathematics-courses Studying Actuarial Science involves utilising mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in the insurance and finance industries. It is to be honest a very difficult course and a highly specialised field. However pursuing a job in this field is definitely in demand and with enough experience, you will be handsomely paid. If you are passionate about all of the above, then a course in actuarial science is the best for you. Institutions that offer mathematics courses include UCSI, Sunway University and APU to name a few. Hi Izzatul,
An Anaesthetist is a very professional career. Here is the pathway to be one: SPM --> Pre-u in Science Stream --> MBBS + Housemanship --> Postgraduate in Anaesthesiology
After SPM, you must pursue any pre-u in science stream, taking core science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Then, go for a degree in Medicine (MBBS) for 5 years with an internship at a hospital for 2 years and another 1 year as a Medical Officer. After this, you can be a General Practitioner, meaning a Doctor but not a specialist. That itself takes a total of roughly 8 years. A Master's in Anaestheology takes another 4 years. Not many institutions offer this course, only UM, UPM and USM.
Here's a helpful article on Medicine: https://afterschool.my/find-university-in-malaysia/this-may-just-be-the-perfect-place-to-gain-your-medical-degree
Hope this clarifies your doubt :)

Hi Farisha,
A diploma in english for communication can lead you to become an English teacher in tuition centres but not in schools, nor university level because they would require a higher level of qualification such as a bachelor or masters. Upon completing your diploma in this field, you should pursue degree in English and communication as well and preferably masters in this field also to have more job opportunities.
To be a lecturer at a university, you will need at least a Bachelor's Degree. If you want to specialise in teaching English, it's best if you enrol for a Diploma or Asasi in TESL now then continue your degree in TESL later on. UniSZA and UiTM offer this course so you can check it out.
Careers you can pursue with this degree are vast. You can be a writer, teacher, editor, content manager, journalist, social media manager, etc.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your application! :)

Hi Fatin,
Pre-University is a study level that consists of STPM, Asasi, Matrikulasi, A-Levels, Foundation, IB, ADTP, CPU, AUSMAT, etc. They are all categorised under 'pre-university' level. Each of them have their own pros and cons, some being more affordable, some leading you to study at overseas institutions, some have a shorter duration, etc. Diploma is also the same level but people generally call diploma just as it is. A diploma is more specific than other pre-u programmes. For example, there are only a few streams in Foundation such as science, arts, engineering, business, etc. But for diploma, you have Diploma in Information Technology or Business and Accounting, etc. This article explains in detail what all these courses entail: https://afterschool.my/find-course/which-pre-u-course-should-you-choose
Hope this helps.
