Hello Willy,
For Agricultural Sciences, physics is not a required subject. However, it will depend on the school you wish to go to. In order to find out if it is a requirement, do cross-check with the schools you plan on applying to. For more information on the course itself, do have a look at Study Agricultural Sciences in Malaysia. The page has information about the course, the subject you will study, the entry requirements and institutions that offer the course.
Hope this finds you well and good luck!

Hi Steve,
A Foundation in Agriculture programme would typically require you to obtain a minimum of 3Cs in your SPM, with one of them being a Science subject and at least a Pass in English. Hence, you should be able to pursue it.

Hi Nurul Afifah,
If you did not take a Physics subject in SPM, you will have to retake your SPM with the required subjects. Medicine, Pharmacy and Pediatrics (which is a branch of medicine) requires you to have achieved at least 5Bs in SPM in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and another subject.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Sarwaysini,
A Diploma in Nursing programme would require you to study science subjects such as microbiology and chemistry especially regarding medication, therefore a background in science would certainly be very useful.
Hope this helps, and do not hesitate to ask us further questions.

Hi Howard,
Thank you for your questions. There are, in fact, many pathways to get into medical courses like MBBS, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Some pathways, like first doing Foundation in Science or Matriculation, before enrolling into the medical degree requires that the student achieves both a CGPA of at least 3.00 in pre-university AND 5Bs in SPM level, including the three science subjects and Math. However, a student can qualify for MBBS/Dentistry courses without using their O levels/SPM as a qualification by either taking STPM or A levels science stream. They would need to achieve at least BBB / ABC / AAC in 3 subjects (Biology & Chemistry & Physics / Math) to be eligible though.
If you're interested, MAHSA University and AIMST both offer great medical degrees. INTEC on the other hand offers both A levels and A levels German. If you are interested to enroll your son into either of theses courses, you can fill in the bar on the right and our counselors will get in touch with you.
Hope this helps!

Hi Nurnabila!
There are a lot of courses that you can apply that are Physics related. The most common ones are Diplomas in any Engineering field and Foundation in Science. As for career pathway, you can be an Engineer or a Quality Assurance Officer once you complete your degree in any Engineering fields. If you're interested, you can check out Universities that offer both Foundation in Science and DIploma in Engineering such as Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur and University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS).You may fill in the bar on the right if you are keen on enrolling, and one of our counselors will get in touch with you.:)
All the best for your SPM!
Germany
Universities
Degree
Hi Dharmavathi,
You may check for top German universities by subject here. If your son would like to apply for a university in Germany, I would suggest for your son to take a German pre-university qualification. That way, it would simultaneously prepare him for university life in Germany and make it easier for him to apply for the universities there.
If you're interested, INTEC offers A levels German which prepares students for university in Germany. Just fill in the bar on the right if you're keen on applying, and one of our counselors will get in touch with you.
Hi Dharmavathi. We aren't a college. Instead, we provide up-to-date information on everything to do with higher education, helping guide students onto the right path. To answer your question:
1) Astrophysics is usually offered as a postgraduate degree. There are 2 universities in Germany that offer the course, both the Master's level. One is the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and the other is the Bonn-Cologne Graduate School of Physics and Astronomy.
2) Your son's pathway would be to complete A-Levels first, taking up science subjects, and then focusing on a degree in science. Please do take note of the requirements of either of the German universities now itself, so you won't be caught off-guard by any specific requirements such as subjects taken, research papers published and more. Preparation is key!
Mathematics
Hi Tariq,
To be eligible for Foundation in Science, generally you would need at least a B in five (5) subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and another subject as well as credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English. This may differ depending on what pathway you choose to pursue for degree, and what institution is offering the course. I would suggest for you to take up Biology and Chemistry to meet the entry requirements of most universities.
If you're interested, IUMW, AIMST, and MAHSA all offer Foundation in Science. If you are keen on applying, just fill in the bar on the right and one of our counselors will get in touch with you.
Computer Science
Hi Shazal,
SPM/O-level Addmaths is an important subject for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science because its elements are incorporated into the syllabus, hence why you need a decent grade in SPM/O-level Addmaths to be eligible for the course. That being said, depending on the institution, you would need a minimum of 2 Principal Passes in A levels AND a C in SPM/O-level Addmaths to be able to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Some institutions require BBB, including mathematics and excluding general studies for A levels. I would suggest you to research what university you are aiming to apply to and then do your best to meet its entry requirements. Read more about universities that offer computer science courses here.
