It honestly depends on the type of job career you're aiming for and how much you're willing to spend after your bachelor's degree. 

The master degree is more broad compared to a certificate so there might be more job opportunities available for you. A master's degree may hold more significance and weight to your CV when your submit one because certain fields and higher-level positions prefer or require a master's degree.

Thank you so much, I'm still in need of clarification on what course should i be taking as i do not want my studies (master) to go unnoticed and with no value. In that case, you have said that furthering studies in masters is better than taking up skills certificates for better employment opportunity and salary rise. When comparing MBA with other masters in engineering specifically, which one is better? Also, when master is considered, how to evaluate which course and where to study, do university matter?

It is recommended that you continue your studies and receive a masters in engineering rather than just completing at a bachelor's degree. There are more job options, higher employment rate and higher salary fees for individuals who have a masters in engineering. So, it will be worth it if you continue your studies to a masters degree or even a PhD in engineering. 

The MBA in engineering is a very beneficial option as it will give you the business management skills. Many engineering companies today require such skills as it allows the employees to lead teams and get projects done on time and within budget. There are various MBAs that you could take; Engineering Managing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Work Experience, and Engineering Geographical Location.

It all depends on you, your family and the course you choose to take. Usually, students choose to go abroad during their masters or PhD but that depends if you plan on continuing your studies till that level. If not, you can also choose to go abroad for your degree. But all factors depend on your choices and decisions. If you do plan on going abroad, do have a look at Study in UK and Study in Australia.

The master's degree offered in UKM is known as Master of Health Science (Hearing & Speech). Do note that it is a master's by research course.

The minimum requirements are as follows:

• Bachelor Degree in related field with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or any Institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate; or
• Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor Degree and other qualification or experience recognized by the Senate.

Hi Nicole,

As long as your psychology degree was rooted in science-related subjects (i.e. a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as opposed to a Bachelor of Arts), you will be able to pursue a master's degree in speech pathology.

However, do note that speech pathology is not offered as a clinical master's course in Malaysia; there are very few universities that offer courses in speech pathology. For example, UKM offers both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in research in Hearing and Speech. Besides that, USM offers a bachelor's degree in speech pathology.

As long as you have a Masters or PhD, you will be able to become a lecturer in any IPTA or IPTS. Most universities will accept Masters holders, though there are certain universities that would require you to hold a PhD. You may even become a lecturer with a degree but only with substantial experience.

Unfortunately most institutions require that a degree in Accounting holder achieve at least a CGPA of 3.00 to be allowed admission. In fact, even to pursue ACCA locally BAcc holders are required to at least have a CGPA of 2.50 or above, as set by the MQA.

Fret not! You don't need to wait to pursue your Master's to get into the psychology field. If you get at least a CGPA of 2.00 in your diploma studies and have achieved a C in SPM level Math and Science, then you're eligible for the degree!

A postgraduate degree may take between one to four years to finish on average. This may differ depending on the course you're taking, the institution offering it, and the mode of study. It may take longer if you are doing it part time, or shorter if you are doing online or distance learning. This is because most if not all postgraduate courses have flexible modes of study to cater to working adults, or those with financial issues. You should also know that a postgraduate qualification is not only limited to a postgraduate degree. You could always go for a postgraduate diploma or certificate too!
