Hello Cindy,
1. In the finance/business industry’s point of view, either of these choices are good, as the business world will always need accountants, marketers and managers to ensure that the economy stays stable.
1. There is no harm in joining the CFA, as it gives you extra recognition when you are applying for jobs in the future.
However, all in all, the final decision in making these choices depend on your own interest and passion in the field. If you really want marketing, then you should go for it as it is better for you if you are doing something you really love.
Hope this helps. We wish you all the best :)
Degree
Diploma
Hi Shafika,
You can always finish up with a degree in marketing, but there are plenty of degree choices to choose from as well should you prefer to study in a different field. For example, you can apply for Architecture, Finance, IT, Quantity Surveying, and many more. However, you should do some research on whether the university that you are interested in accepts your diploma and allows for credit transfer.
Here is a sample university that accepts most diplomas depending on their CGPA and subjects taken: https://afterschool.my/infrastructure-university-kuala-lumpur You can fill in the form on the right hand column if you are interested and we will get back to you.
Feel free to browse through the institutions on this website. We wish you all the best!
Law
Hey there Jainudin,
1) Well the fees for the Marketing and Law degree of Aberystwyth University in the UK would cost so much more in comparison to studying it here in Malaysia. Brickfields Asis College (BAC) has a collaboration with the university and offers a 3+0 programme. This means that you will complete 3 years of studies at BAC while obtaining your qualification at Aberystwyth University. It costs RM20,000 per year
2) There are no internal scholarships at the moment but you can apply for external ones offered by foundations and other companies. Browse through the list of scholarships here (https://afterschool.my/scholarship). As for loans you can apply for PTPTN or PPBU.
Hope this helps you and if you have any more query, just ask away :)
