Hi Afiqah,
There are plenty of job options and opportunities for a degree in Japanese Language. For example, you may work in various international organisations that would require professional and advanced use of the language. Besides that, employment within the education sector is also available for those who studied the Japanese language.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Jazreeza,
Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) is a course within the field of education that is aimed for students who hope to become teachers planning to teach English to speakers of foreign languages. Therefore, when you graduate from this course the job prospects are mainly teaching. You can read more about a TESL qualification here on our page.
English for Communication (or Professional Communication) focuses on the English language itself and is a course within the field of languages. Some of the topics covered in this course include the English grammar, academic, business and/or creative writing as well as linguistics. Taking this course would mean that you will be spending your time mastering the English language as a whole as opposed to TESL, which focuses on your teaching skills.
English for Communication has a wider scope in terms of job prospects, as you can also become a teacher with this degree. On top of that, you can become a content writer, journalist, editor, biographer, copywriter, public relations executive, corporate communications manager and so on. Although a TESL course can be a gateway to these careers, the main element in TESL as we have mentioned before is teaching and education.
Hope this clears the two up! Good luck and do let us know if you have any further questions.

Korea, Republic of
INTEC Education College
Hi Saidatul,
To become an interpreter, the degree that you are looking for is a Translation and Interpretation degree. Before you can pursue a degree in Korea, you will need to complete a one year Korean Language Programme in Korea.
INTEC Education College offers a Korean Preparatory Programme which prepares students for further studies at Korean universities. The programme lasts for 9 months, and upon completion, is followed by a Korean Language Programme at Seoul National Unversity, or any other Language Centre. You may then pursue a Translation and Interpretation degree at Ehwa Woman's University or Chung-ang University. These two universities are among the several Korean universities in which INTEC does placements with. Read more about INTEC here.
If you're interested in applying for the course, just fill in the bar on the right and our counselors will get in touch with you.
Hope this helps! Wishing you the very best. :)

Hello Nasha,
Choosing a degree is important as it is the 4 year pathway that will be guiding you to your future career and livelihood. Therefore, although you can ask people for advice, in the end the final decision still belongs to you as you are the one that will be studying the courses that you choose.
Here are some questions for you to ask yourself to help you find the answer to which course you should take:1. What do you want to be at the end of the degree? (Do you want to be a counsellor, teacher, etc.?)2. Is there an age range that you want to work with? (children, teens, adults, senior citizens, etc.)3. Which makes you happier, helping people with their personal problems, or educating people with language and communication skills? (Both help people in different ways)4. What are the pros and cons of the course and the career that comes with it? (study/work-life balance, stress levels, tuition fees/income, place of study/work...)We hope these questions helped clarify some of your doubts. Feel free to ask us more questions after reflecting on these questions. We wish you all the best!
