There are plenty of careers you can do with a counseling diploma (have a look at careers & pathways) however, it is advisable for you to continue with your studies in counseling in order to become a clinical psychotherapist as you require licensing for such a profession. If you are certain of your course choice, it is advisable for you to take a Foundation in Arts programme in universities that offer Performing Arts or Dance as a course. By doing a Foundation in Arts, you can enrol in other Arts programmes if you wish. An example of a university that offers such a course is University of Malaya (UM), where they have a Bachlor of Performing Arts (Dance) course. You can read up on it here.

Besides that, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology also offers a Professional Diploma in Performance Arts and Creativity with a focus in Dance. In this case, you may apply for the programme after you have completed your SPM examinations. For more info on this course, click here.
