What are the entry requirements for an Counselling course?

Degree in Counselling

STPM :

A minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in Pengajian Am and a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects

UEC :

3 Grade Bs in relevant subjects which must include Grade B in one Mathematics subject, Grade B in one Science subject and Grade C in English

Master in Counselling

Degree :

A relevant first or second class Honours degree, or a degree qualification, or equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government, acceptable to the University

PhD in Counselling

Master's :

A Master's Degree in relevant field and shows evidence of adequate related research or work experiences to satisfaction of Senate

Important Note: Be psychologically prepared to face people who will share their problems with you for hours. It’s important not to let their tears, anger and frustration get to you or else you will need counselling as well!.

How does your education pathway look like?

If you opt to study a Diploma in Counselling and continue your degree at the same institution, you will most likely get a one-year exemption. This means that you can enter degree year 2 after diploma
