Hi Nawal Hayati Idris,

You can view our comprehensive study guide for computer science by clicking here.

The entry requirements typically depend on the institution itself, so you can view individual requirements in the institution profile pages. You can view a list of the institutions in Malaysia offering computer science by clicking here. You can also filter the study level (bachelor) by changing it in the left sidebar.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Shazal,

SPM/O-level Addmaths is an important subject for a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science because its elements are incorporated into the syllabus, hence why you need a decent grade in SPM/O-level Addmaths to be eligible for the course. That being said, depending on the institution, you would need a minimum of 2 Principal Passes in A levels AND a C in SPM/O-level Addmaths to be able to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Some institutions require BBB, including mathematics and excluding general studies for A levels. I would suggest you to research what university you are aiming to apply to and then do your best to meet its entry requirements. Read more about universities that offer computer science courses here.

Hope this helps!

Hi Shazal,

Unfortunately in order to be eligible to pursue a degree in Computer Science, you will need at least a credit in SPM/O-level Additional Mathematics, no matter what pre-university qualification you hold. But if you are interested in pursuing a Diploma in Computer Science, Nilai University and Lincoln University College are among some universities that offer the course. You may be eligible to enter if you have at least 3 credits including Math in SPM/O-levels.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Yes. Entry requirements differ from university to university, but generally you will need to have at least a credit for Additional Mathematics in SPM to be eligible to pursue a degree in Computer Science, regardless of what pre-university qualification you might have.

University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) has a number of computer science courses worth looking at. If you're interested, just fill in the bar on the right and one of our counselors will get in touch with you.

Hope this helps. Wishing you the very best! :)

Hello Nur Hidayah,

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply for IPG as one of their main requirements is that the applicant must be below 20 years old by 30th June 2018.

However, as you already have a degree and wish to teach, you can either choose to apply for the DPLI (Diploma Pendidikan Lepasan Ijazah ) course, or Teach for Malaysia. DPLI is a teaching diploma for people who already have a degree prior to this, and you will only be able to teach in secondary schools after that. If you really want to teach in a primary school, then Teach for Malaysia is the better choice for you as the programme gives you the choice of either teaching in a SK or SMK.

Here are some links for you to read up on DPLI or Teach for Malaysia:

Hope this helps. We wish you all the best!

Hi Izyan,

Unfortunately, this is not possible. It is compulsory to complete an MBBS (degree in Medicine) for 5 years and 2 years of housemanship before anyone can become a licensed Medical Officer. The only way to be a doctor now is to do an MBBS. There is no age limit to this so you are still eligible to apply for it as long as you meet the entry requirements.

Hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask if you have further queries :)

Hello Thevendren,

There are many factors for you to consider when choosing between studying at Sunway University or MMU. Some important ones are listed here:
1)Private vs Government-linked University
2)Tuition Fees
3)Location + Cost of Living
4)Facilities on Campus
5)Quality of Education

Unfortunately, we cannot give you a direct answer on which university is the best one, as these factors come down to your own personal preferences and financial capability. We suggest that you look at these factors one-by-one, and compare them before concluding on which university is the best fit for you.

Hope this clarifies your doubts, but feel free to ask us questions if you need any advice on which one to choose after making your comparisons :)
