Hi Afiqah,

There are plenty of job options and opportunities for a degree in Japanese Language. For example, you may work in various international organisations that would require professional and advanced use of the language. Besides that, employment within the education sector is also available for those who studied the Japanese language.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Jeehan,

One of the top universities for foreign language degrees is the University of Malaya (UM). They offer full fleshed out bachelor's degree courses in both Chinese and Japanese languages. Have a look at their course outline here:

Bachelor of Chinese Language and Linguistics

Bachelor of Japanese Language and Linguistics

While you won;t be able to go overseas, you will get the opportunity to apply for scholarships from the government of China and Japan after you graduate, perhaps opening a door for you.

Another option is the course of Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies offered by Xiamen University Malaysia Campus.  You may read about the course in detail by clicking here
