Hello Nasha,
Choosing a degree is important as it is the 4 year pathway that will be guiding you to your future career and livelihood. Therefore, although you can ask people for advice, in the end the final decision still belongs to you as you are the one that will be studying the courses that you choose.
Here are some questions for you to ask yourself to help you find the answer to which course you should take:1. What do you want to be at the end of the degree? (Do you want to be a counsellor, teacher, etc.?)2. Is there an age range that you want to work with? (children, teens, adults, senior citizens, etc.)3. Which makes you happier, helping people with their personal problems, or educating people with language and communication skills? (Both help people in different ways)4. What are the pros and cons of the course and the career that comes with it? (study/work-life balance, stress levels, tuition fees/income, place of study/work...)We hope these questions helped clarify some of your doubts. Feel free to ask us more questions after reflecting on these questions. We wish you all the best!
