The Diploma in Early Childhood Education programme is developed to equip students with broadbased knowledge and skills to nurture and guide preschool children. The programme is carefully designed for Early Childhood educators to enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge in teaching and learning theories, pedagogy skills, curriculum content, child development, child psychology, assessment of children’s learning, management of preschool centres, safety and nutrition aspects of children, and also the spiritual and moral development of children. The programme takes into consideration the multiple facets in the development of gifted children and children with special needs. Practical training is a compulsory component of the programme in which students are provided

the opportunity to acquire practical skills in preschool teaching and learning environment, to develop their moral and intellectual character and to have a better understanding of contemporary issues in the field of early childhood education.
