The Department of Music provides an opportunity for music enthusiasts, who meet the minimum academic qualifications to pursue their study in music. The Institute’s full-time course encompasses both Western classical & Eastern aspects of music. The course emphasizes the pursuit of exceptional skills in voice, composition, keyboard and string instruments as well as an in-depth understanding of theory and principles of music. The curriculum also covers the study of Computer Music and Music Business.
SPM with minimum 3 credits AND pass in BM & History
UEC with minimum 3 credits
‘O’ level with minimum 3 credits
Any other equivalent qualifications.
Must attain a grade 5 in theory and practical for piano or grade 4 in theory and practical for other musical instruments (A.B.R.S.M. certificate or equivalent) or by audition.
