COURSE OVERVIEW

Diplomas in early childhood education provide students with good knowledge in the areas of early childhood learning. At the national level, there is a need to produce graduates who are competent in knowledge and skills and have a high sense of professionalism and integrity. The program opens up opportunities for candidates who see their future on the path to becoming knowledgeable workers through higher levels of education and contribute to the accelerating growth that leads to high-income countries by 2020.

Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent, with at least three (3) credits in any subject; OR

Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any subject; OR

Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with minimum Maqbul Grade; OR

Passed Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in ‘Parenting / Preschool / Early Child Care / Pre-School Care’ and passed SPM or equivalent with at least one (1) credit in any subject; OR

Pass BTEC Level 3 and pass SPM or equivalent, with at least one (1) credit in any subject; OR Pass the Certificate of Early Childhood Education or equivalent; OR

Any recognized Certificate or its equivalent. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

Pass the TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 points or a 5.0 score in IELTS for international students (or equivalent). If the candidate does not meet these requirements, the University should offer a course in ‘English Language Skills’ to ensure adequate student language proficiency for the entire program. This training will be organized through the evaluation process.
