Hello Saw Yin,

  1. The average salary per month for a tour guide will range from RM 2,100 to RM 3,100. However, as most tour guide jobs are seasonal and commission based, your salary could go up during the holiday seasons, and you will also earn more through tips if the tourists take a liking to you and your tour guiding style.
  2. With the current influx of Chinese tourists entering Malaysia with easy visa approvals and the cultural similarities that we have with them, it can be said that the demand for Mandarin-speaking tour guides will increase in the upcoming years.

If you want more details on the job scopes, pros and cons, etc. of being a tour guide, click this link to find out more: https://afterschool.my/career/tour-guide

 Hope this helps :)
