There are a number of universities offering Geology as a bachelor's degree course in Malaysia, such as Curtin University, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and many others. You can view the whole list on our website here.

The minimum SPM requirements may differ for each university, but generally you would need to be good in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics as geology involves exploring the earth's resources and reduce the risk of geological disasters via calculations.

You will of course need to complete your pre-university (such as A-Levels, Foundation or STPM) before pursuing a degree in Geology. The usual cut-off score for pre-university programmes like A-Levels/ STPM is 5 (best of 3 subjects).

Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. This course is focused on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and etc. A degree in Geology will require Physics and Chemistry in the Pre University Course taken. 

Since you took Matriculation in regards to Accounting,  the subjects you learned is not relevant to a degree in Geology. In other words, you did not meet the minimum entry requirements for a course in Geology, so unfortunately, you are unable to study this course. Courses that you are eligible to enroll are Accounting, Commerce, Banking, Business, Marketing, Psychology, Law, Economics, Investment etc.

Yes, you can. But you must take Mathematics T / Mathematics M and Geography in your pre-u level. Here is UM's entry requirements for a degree in Geology:

Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B pada peringkat STPM dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:
• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics T/Mathematics M
• Geografi
