COURSE OVERVIEW

The AeU Bachelor of Education (Teaching Islamic Studies in Primary School) with Honours is a one-of-a-kind programme in education that allows professional working adults and in-service teachers to attain on-the-job training while working towards a degree. The aim of this programme is to strengthen and enrich knowledge in Islamic Studies at a primary school level. The use of technology through online learning and blended learning as the main medium in the teaching and learning process of this programme will help stimulate the teachers intellect and increase their professionalism in school.

Academic Requirements (For Malaysian and International Students)

  • STPM / 'A' Level or equivalent of at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in two (2) subjects; OR 
  • STAM (Jayyid Grade); OR 
  • UEC with at least Grade B in five (5) subjects; OR 
  • Matriculation / Humanities Program of any IPTA / IPTS / Institution authorized to offer a basic program with CGPA 2.00; OR 
  • Diploma with a CGPA of at least 2.00; OR 
  • Other qualifications are equivalent and recognized.

Flexible Entry

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) Entry Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Relevant working experience.

Minimum English Language Requirements for International Students

  • Minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS; OR
  • Minimum score of TOEFL PBT 410-433 / TOEEFL IBT 34-40; OR
  • Pearson Test of English PTE 36; OR
  • Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) 160; OR
  • Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) 180; OR
  • Malaysia University English Test (MUET Band 3).
