Beginning 2018, a brand new, more user-friendly Pengurusan Kemasukan Pelajar (UPU) system will be in effect for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) holders and those with equivalent qualifications, as confirmed by the Director of Student Enrolment Management Division, Mazula Sabudin in an interview with the New Straits Times (NST).
This is what students can expect in this shinier, more streamlined version of the hugely popular UPU online application system, which any student intending to apply for the first intake a programme of any of the 20 public universities (IPTA/UA) in Malaysia will have to use:
This new initiative was in part, due to the fact a large number of students continue to garner rejection letters/e-mails from public universities for applying to courses they were not eligible for in the first place, leaving them high and dry, without a course or institution to take them on. Hopefully, SPM students can now gain acceptance to the universities and courses of their choice! Speaking of which, all the best to all SPM 2017 students. In need of any last minute practice?
