UTAR offers scholarships for students from independent Chinese high schools

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, a non-profit institution of higher education is offering over 200 scholarships for students from independent Chinese high schools.

According to UTAR, scholarship recipients need to maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.67 throughout their course.

Minimum requirements

• At least 4As in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
• Recommendation from school principal
• Must pass the interview
• Students belonging from a low-income family would be given consideration

Benefits

• Students can choose any programme they want
• RM500 allowance each month throughout the tenure of the scholarship in addition to the 100% tuition fee waiver
