If you’ve just finished your SPM and are considering tertiary education at a prestigious institution, the Yayasan UEM Scholarship can turn that dream into reality. Over the years, this scholarship has enabled countless Malaysian students to study at renowned universities both locally and abroad.
Undergraduate Global Scholarship
The Yayasan UEM Scholarship for SPM leavers offers full financial support, covering tuition fees, living expenses, and academic-related costs. Scholars begin with a pre-university programme at Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) in Lembah Beringin before advancing to prestigious international universities for their undergraduate studies. Eligible applicants must be Malaysian citizens with a minimum of 7As in their SPM exams, demonstrate proficiency in English and exhibit strong leadership abilities along with notable extracurricular achievements.
Why Choose the Yayasan UEM Scholarship?
In addition to financial support, the scholarship offers special programmes designed to develop essential communication, leadership and critical thinking skills. These programmes aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who can excel in both academic and professional environments.
A Life-Changing Opportunity
Ku Ai Er, a scholarship recipient, whose life-changing call from Yayasan UEM five years ago kickstarted an exciting academic journey. With tuition and living expenses covered, she could focus on excelling in her academics without worry, earning the recognition of Top in Malaysia in Accounting at A-Level and securing the Dean’s Excellence List Award. Besides financial support, Yayasan UEM provided mentorship and guidance, serving as crucial pillars of support. A summer internship with Deloitte in Cambridge eventually led to a graduate job offer, aligning with her dream of becoming a chartered accountant.
Bond Requirement
The Yayasan UEM Scholarship offers a unique opportunity through its five-year bond requirement. Upon successful completion of undergraduate studies, employment for scholars will be primarily within UEM Group and its subsidiaries, as well as approved partners of the Yayasan UEM Bond Transfer Programme. This bond provides priority access to career opportunities within reputable companies, fostering professional growth and skill development.
