A wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (one of the Malaysian Government’s investment arms), UEM is renowned as Malaysia’s top engineering conglomerate. Currently, UEM focuses on its four core businesses, namely Expressways, Township & Property Development, Engineering and Construction and Asset and Facility Management. To date, UEM has completed expressway projects in Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Qatar.
Yayasan UEM is a non-profit group aimed at receiving and administering funds for education, scientific research and charities. The foundation is UEM’s corporate social responsibility arm which carries out its social welfare activities.
The UEM Scholarships Programme
The UEM Scholarships Programme is offered yearly to outstanding students to pursue their education either locally or overseas. It aims to produce elite scholars which would ultimately create a supply of manpower and future leaders of the country. There are currently two scholarships offered:
Malaysian students who are highly proficient in the English language (both spoken and written) and possess outstanding co-curricular and academic record are welcome to apply.
