1. JPA Scholarship under Engineering Programme

This scholarship program encourages students to pursue engineering careers and study in Germany, France, Japan and Korea

This JPA Scholarship is offered by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (JPA). Candidates are only allowed to choose one of four eligible countries (Germany, France, Japan and Korea) depending on interest and potential.

Eligibility for Engineering Programmes

•Malaysian citizen

• Not more than 19 years of age (20 years old for Remove Class students);

• Having good health and not suffering from critical illnesses such as hepatitis, AIDS, HIV, etc.; and

• Obtained at least A- grade in eight (8) of the following subjects:– Malay language;– History;– Islamic Studies or Al-Quran and As-Sunnah Education or Syariah Islamiah Education– English language– Physics– Chemistry– Mathematics– Additional Mathematics

2. Bank Negara Scholarships (pre-university, undergraduate, postgraduate)

 

The recipients of these scholarships are given the freedom to pursue their own field of study in top universities in any country of their choice

The Postgraduate Scholarship  is awarded to eligible individuals to pursue, or are currently pursuing Postgraduate studies in the following field of studies at selected leading universities locally and globally.

Only available for selected programmes at selected leading universities locally and globally:

  • Economics
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Actuarial Science
  • Law

Eligibility
Criteria for pre-university candidates:

  • Straight A+ in 2015 SPM examination

• Not exceeding 19 years of age on 1 July 2016

• Strong leadership qualities, high teamwork capabilities, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Criteria for undergraduate candidates:

  • STPM / A-Level – at least 2 A and 1 B ; or

• Diploma / Matriculation – Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.50 ; or

• South Australian Matriculation – ATAR of at least 85% ; or

• American Foundation Program – SAT1 score of at least 1200 ; or

• For candidates currently pursuing Undergraduate – Current CGPA of at least 3.50

Criteria for postgraduate candidates:

  • Obtained a First Class (Honours) Bachelor / Master’s Degree from recognised local and overseas universities
  • Not exceeding 30 years old for Master and 35 years old for PhD on 1 July 2016
  • Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects

3. IJM Scholarship Award Programme

Academically successful students who want to apply for this scholarship programme also needs to have a good command in English, both written and oral

Students with excellent academic record, who are proactive and highly-motivated, and intend to pursue or are pursuing any one of the following courses are encouraged to apply for the IJM Scholarship Awards.

  • For those currently pursuing a degree, must achieve at least a CGPA score of 3.50 out of 4.00 in their latest semester result

4. Perdana University (JPA/PSD) Scholarship Awards

This scholarship awards are only eligible to students who have been offered in Perdana University and it closes in May

Malaysia Public Service Department (PSD) invites Malaysian students who have an outstanding academic standing to apply for this scholarship to study at Perdana University.

Eligibility:

  • Only students who have been offered a place at Perdana University are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

5. Yayasan Khazanah Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship Programme

The scholarship closes in the second week of March.

Eligibility:

a) For Foundation Studies 

  • Successful applicants will be sent to Kolej Yayasan UEM, KYUEM to pursue A-level programme
  • Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of A and A+) in the recent SPM examination
  • Not exceeding 18 years of age

b) For Undergraduate Studies (Please attach university confirmation letter at the Attachments tab)

  • Obtained a minimum 3As for A-level / 38 points for International Baccalaureate (IB) / a minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00 for the Pre-university programme
  • Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for a Bachelor’s Degree in the previous semester

6. MyBrainSc Scholarship

 

This scholarship program caters to students who are studying in pure science courses in both public and private universities

MyBrainSc scholarship is open to all Malaysian citizens who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate (full-time) in pure science courses in Malaysian public universities (IPTA) and the world’s top universities.

Open season:

The scholarship opens on 1 January 2016 and closes on 29 February 2016.

Eligibility:

The general eligibility for undergraduate, masters and PhD applicants are:

  • Students who are not receiving any scholarship or sponsorship from any sponsor

7. Shell Malaysia Overseas Undergraduate Scholarship Awards

This scholarship program mostly provides financial assistance to students who want to pursue their careers in engineering

This scholarship award is open to students who will be undertaking and or currently in a full time 1st Degree in any University in the United Kingdom, United States or Australia.

Only available for selected programmes:

  • Geosciences
  • Petroleum Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Candidates pursuing other engineering or sciences or non-technical (e.g. Finance or Human Resources) disciplines are also encouraged to apply.

  • Minimum 3.0 CGPA or its equivalent at 1st Degree studies level
  • Minimum 3.0 CGPA or its equivalent at Pre University Level i.e. Diploma/STPM/IB, or 2As & 1B for A-Levels /Foundation.
  • Do not receive any other scholarships/loans.

8. UEM Group Berhad Overseas Scholarship Programme

 

This scholarship program helps students who want to pursue careers in business, built environment and engineering

The programme offers opportunities specifically for Malaysians who have an outstanding academic background to pursue a pre-university programme at Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) in Lembah Beringin, before furthering studies at a reputable university overseas, notably UK, US and Australia

Nurturing scholars, leadership training and development activities with job attachments within the UEM Group of Companies are provided throughout the programme and within the bonded period.

Only available for selected programmes:

  • Business (Finance/Business Management/Accounting/Economics/Marketing)
  • Built Environment (Quantity Surveying/Town Planning/Land Surveying/Building Services/Building Management)
  • Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical)

The scholarship closes at the end of March each year.

Eligibility:

  • All applicants must be Malaysian citizens who are proficient in English.
  • Excellent academic track record in Form 4 & 5

9. Genting Malaysia GENM Scholarship Awards

 

 

In order to apply for this scholarship, students need to be below 23 years of age and still haven’t pursue their studies in a full-time degree course

The Genting Malaysia Scholarship Award (GENM Scholarship) provides outstanding young Malaysians with the golden opportunity to further their studies locally or overseas. We are offering financial assistance for undergraduate studies to those who have excelled academically and are active leaders with their extra-curricular activities.

  • Finance/Accounting
  • Business/ Marketing, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical)

The scholarship closes in the first week of April.

Eligibility:

  • Malaysian citizen aged 23 years and below.
  • Must be waiting for admission to pursue a full-time degree course in a local or overseas university. Those already pursuing a degree are not eligible.
  • Must possess the requisite pre-university qualification:- STPM: minimum 3 As, OR

- Matriculation/Diploma: CGPA 3.5 or above, OR- A-Level: minimum 3 As, OR- Australian TER: minimum 90.0, OR- Recognized foundation/Pre-university courses: equivalent to CGPA 3.5 or above, OR- International Baccalaureate: minimum 36.0

10. Singapore’s ASEAN Scholarships for Malaysians: Pre-University One Scholarship

Every year, students who are eligible for this scholarship award needs to apply for it before March

Three types of awards are offered under the ASEAN Scholarships for Malaysia:

1. Secondary One Scholarships:
The ASEAN Secondary One Scholarship is tenable for 6 years, leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.

2. Secondary Three Scholarships:
The ASEAN Secondary Three Scholarship is tenable for 4 years, leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate. The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

3. Pre-University One Scholarships:
The ASEAN Pre-University One Scholarship is tenable for 2 years, leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate. The Scholarship is for 2 years of Pre-University studies in selected Singapore Junior Colleges and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

11. Kuok Foundation Berhad Singapore Polytechnics Diploma Awards

 

This scholarship award is for students who are currently studying at the selected universities in Singapore

KUOK FOUNDATION BERHAD invites applications for the above awards from Malaysian citizens applying for or currently pursuing full-time diploma courses at the following Singapore Polytechnics:

  • Nanyang Polytechnic
  • Ngee Ann Polytechnic
  • Republic Polytechnic
  • Singapore Polytechnic
  • Temasek Polytechnic

Full loan or half-loan half-grant study award. The loan portion of the study award is interest-free and is repayable by monthly instalments upon graduation.
