The MIC Youth offers RM16.8 million worth of scholarshipsto 1,500 Indian students from underprivileged families to pursue higher education.
The MIC Youth Scholarship programme is divided into three types: special student discount scholarship, full scholarship and partial scholarship.
Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam, the president of MIC stated that the scholarship programme is a joint collaboration between MIC and several leading private higher education institutions, including Help University, Binary University, Segi University, Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College and 26 Malaysian skills training centres.
