Najib proposes new JPA scholarship model

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) introduces new scholarship model to prevent its scholars from running away from the five years service in the government sector.

According to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the current JPA scholarship model does not benefit the government as some JPA scholarship recipients purposely fail themselves during the interview, despite having invested more than a hundred thousand Ringgit on their tertiary education.

Najib emphasised that the Malaysian government needs to reevaluate current strategies to develop the country during this inflation era.

Some of the difficulties faced by the country include the slow economic growth, high cost of living and the threat from IS militants in south Philippines.
