MARA introduces new policy on loans

Mara will introduce new policies to borrowers and recipients no later than next June.

Its chairman, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, said the new policy will be introduced so that academically excellent students from rural areas will have the opportunity to get a loan or scholarship from MARA.

Annuar said the new approach also involves 'endowment fund' and the MARA-Bank programme to enusre that a larger amount of funds can be provided with a more manageable turning control.

"Hopefully with this new approach more undergraduate" and "postgraduate" students within and outside the country can be helped by MARA," he said.
