Engineering is the number ONE hottest course in Afterschool.my as students are highly interested to study this course. Listed below are some of the available scholarships for engineering that students should know.

1. Shell Malaysia Local Scholarships

This is open to students who will be undertaking and currently in a full time first degree course at any Public Universities and JPA approved international universities based in Malaysia.

Shell Malaysia also strongly encourages people with disabilities to apply for their scholarship program.

2. Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme 2016

The Khazanah Watan Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities. Postgraduate studies can be done locally and overseas.

3. Intel Malaysia Scholarship 2016

Intel Malaysia grants scholarships every year to outstanding talents from various local and private universities throughout the country.

4. Peneraju Tunas Potensi Scholarship Program 2016

The Peneraju Tunas Potensi scholarship programme is aimed to allow opportunities for financial assistance to SPM/STPM leavers from challenging background, who have potential and from families with household income of RM4,000 and below monthly to attain quality tertiary education.

This programme is offered to Malaysian Bumiputera between average to excellent academic qualifications and interested to pursue tertiary education at selected universities for foundation programmes which lead to degree programmes in various fields. Apart from local universities, some of the students will be sent to overseas universities under A-Level/IB pathway.

5. The Star Education Fund Scholarship Awards 2016

Every year, The Star collaborates with the best educational institutions, both local and abroad, to award deserving students a chance to pursue a higher education. These scholarships cover a wide range of fields and disciplines, from entry-level courses to postgraduate education, professional studies to vocational training.

The best thing is the scholarships are all bond-free.

6. Koon Yew Yin Scholarships

All Malaysians who are earning less than Rm 4,000 per month are eligible to apply for a scholarship to do the one-year foundation course at any of the local universities. After completion of the one-year foundation course, all students irrespective of race are entitled to receive a Government loan called PTPTN loan; for their degree course; at a very low interest rate.

However, any student who finds the PTPTN loan insufficient and really needs further financial assistance, may also write for help.

7. Biasiswa Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan 2016

Biasiswa Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan is offered to those who are born in the Federal Territory and are in need of financial aid. Candidates who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in local universities are encouraged to apply.

8. Bangsar Village Kids for Kids Scholarship Award 2016

The Bangsar Village Kids’ for Kids’ Scholarship Awards provide qualified young Malaysians with the opportunity to further their studies locally. It is our aim to assist those who may otherwise not have had the chance to pursue their dreams and help turn them into reality.
