New Policy: No more JPA scholarships, students must pay back this scholarship as a loan or go into civil service after graduation.

JPA600x400

Concerned students and parents have contacted an official from DAP Seremban with requests to look into this issue. Although, there has not been any official statement by the JPA, the confirmation seems to be stated on JPA's website

DAP's Seremban MP, Anthony Loke, said that this is an unfair change of policy and has expressed his frustration regarding the sudden change of the policy. He stated that this decision was made without consulting the public and was not a cabinet based decision. JPA failed to consider the impact on the holders of the scholarship.

JPA graduates must choose to work in the government sector or seek employment with government linked companies and pay 50 percent of the loan. Or full payment of this loan will be imposed if the graduate did not join the civil service.
