Free smartphones and RM 5000 scholarship as part of U Excellence reward

This sponsorship is the first of it's kind in Malaysia.

U Mobile Sdn Bhd announced its partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to reward local university students for academic excellence.

The 'U Excellence' award is the first scholarships to students at a local university offered by a telecommunications company in Malaysia.

For it's first offering, 10 final year students from Universiti Malaya will be chosen, with priority given to those from underprivileged families and a cumulative grade average of 3.5 and above.

They will each receive RM 5,000 and a smartphone with one-year full subscription.
