23 Malaysian students awarded scholarships in accounting

Twenty three students from 16 schools across Malaysia received the Sunway TES-ICAEW Global Accountant Scholarship recently.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees with a registration and exam fees waiver by ICAEW, amounting to RM1 million.

It is for a two- and one-and-a-half-year Certificate and Professional studies in the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) programme at Sunway TES.

Sunway TES started the scholarship scheme in 2013 with two recipients; 84 students were awarded the scholarship last year. To be eligible for the scholarship, recipients have to have obtained at least 9As in their SPM exams.

Scholarship recipients in the programme have done well in their exams for all the subjects. The pass rate stands at 90% and above.
