PTPTN offers special loan for Malaysian students from Egypt

Malaysian students who were forced to return home from Egypt due to the civil unrest, can apply for study loan from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN). The loan is applicable for studies in local institutes of higher education.

PTPTN, in a statement, said that private students could make a special application for funding only if they had registere with a local higher learning institute (IPT), beginning today until 15 January for the first batch and 16 January until 15 February for the second batch through the PTPTN website (www.ptptn.gov.my).

Not eligible for this loan are students sponsored by the Public Service Department (JPA) and MARA. Applications made after the deadline will not be treated as a special application but a normal application instead.
