1. What is the COVID -19 Post -Vaccination Protection Campaign?
The COVID-19 Post-Vaccination Protection Campaign is a collaboration between PTPTN and Hong Leong Insurance/Takaful where a total of RM300,000 has been allocated to provide protection to Malaysians against complications or effects experienced after receiving the vaccine thus encouraging Malaysians to take the vaccine controlling the transmission of COVID-19 disease.
2. When is the duration of the COVID -19 Post -Vaccination Protection Campaign?
The campaign period runs from May 30 to August 31, 2021.
3. Who is eligible to participate in the COVID -19 Post -Vaccination Protection Campaign?
All Malaysians aged 18 to 65 who open a new SSPN-i Plus account and receive the vaccine during the campaign period are eligible to participate in this campaign.
4. What are the benefits of protection provided in the COVID-19 Post-Vaccination Protection Campaign?
Two (2) protection benefits are provided, namely:
Allowance for hospitalization due to complications after vaccination of RM100 per day (maximum up to 7 days); and
Death benefit due to complications after vaccination of RM5,000 per person.
These coverage benefits (a) and (b) apply within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the vaccine until 30 September 2021 or any earlier date.
5. Do depositors need to make additional payments to obtain COVID-19 post-vaccination coverage benefits?
No. This protection benefit is provided free of charge to depositors who open a new SSPN-i Plus account during the campaign period.
6. Do depositors need to apply for COVID-19 post-vaccination coverage benefits?
Yes. Depositors need to apply on the Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Official Portal at the following link:
www.hlmtakaful.com.my
7. How long is the coverage period given?
The coverage period is given for 30 days from the date of receipt of the vaccine until 30 September 2021 or any earlier date or until the RM300,000 fund has been used up.

8. Are depositors who open an account and receive the vaccine outside of the campaign period eligible to claim the COVID-19 post-vaccination protection benefit?
Not deserved. The opening of a new account must be opened during the campaign period from 30 May 2021 to 31 August 2021.
9. Are depositors who opened a new account during the campaign period but have received the vaccine outside the campaign period eligible to claim the COVID-19 post-vaccination protection benefit?
Eligible if the vaccine is received within the coverage period until 30 September 2021 or until the RM300,000 fund has been used up.
Depositors open a new account on 31 August and receive the vaccine on 15 September 2021. The deposit coverage period is only 15 days from 15 September to 30 September only.
10. Is a waiting period required to obtain the benefits of COVID-19 post-vaccination protection?
No waiting period is required to obtain this additional coverage.
11. Are there limits on the types of vaccines that are eligible to receive the COVID-19 post-vaccination protection benefits?
No. All types of COVID-19 vaccines that have been approved by the Malaysian government are eligible to receive the benefits of COVID-19 post-vaccination protection.
12. Is there a claim period on COVID-19 post-vaccination coverage benefits?
No claim period is set. Consideration will be given depending on the earliest claim received limited to RM300,000 of funds allocated
