1Malaysia Student Debit Card Applications Now Open!

As we found out through the 2017 Budget announcement,  the 1Malaysia Student Debit Card (KADS1M Debit) replaced the 1Malaysia book voucher. Students studying in IPTS and IPTA can get the debit card KADS1M by applying online through Bank Rakyat, which began on February 16, 2017.

The KADS1M debit card is a new, safer means to use compared to book vouchers from previous years. Debit cards totaling RM250 can only be used for the purchase of scientific materials from selected book stores. Here we share how to apply online for the Student Debit Card under the auspices of the Bank.

How to Register For the KADS1M Student Debit Card 2017

• Please click to register at the following link: http://www.bankrakyat.com.my
• Fill out the required details. If the server is slow , try accessing it again later. This is because many users are accessing the portal to register. You are advised to try gaining access at non-peak hours.

• Once you finish registering, the Bank will inform the applicant when to collect the KADS1M.

How to Use the Student Debit Card

Students will be given a student KADS1M Debit Card worth RM250.

Student debit cards can be used at any selected book stores. Its use is similar to debit cards but is limited to the amount of RM250 only.

Only the purchase of books, stationery, computer equipment and internet access only allowed to use the debit card.
