University of East Anglia to set up branch office in Malaysia

The University of East Anglia has announced that it will open its branch office in Kuala Lumpur, boosting its regional business and university partnerships and support international student recruitment. A permanent team staff led by regional office manager Peter Ryan will be based at the KL office.

UEA is the number one university in the UK for student satisfaction in the 2013 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey. Its research concentration lies in the fields of environment, health and plant science.

"The opening of our new Malaysia office will play a key role in UEA's ambitious plans for internationalisation - expanding the reach of our graduates and researchers and bringing high quality students from across the world to enjoy the award-winning student experience at our close-knit Norwich campus," says Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof David Richardson.

UEA has presence in China, Nigeria and India.
