Public and private universities are urged to develop more curriculum and co-curricular activities that will nurture a culture of entrepreneurship among graduates.
Chairman of the Pahang Cooperative, Entrepreneurship and Consumerism, Datuk Seri Shahiruddin Ab Moin said it was to expose graduates to the systematic methods and techniques in the business world.
He said there are many areas of business that are still untapped by bumiputera graduates such as tourism, and manufacturing of food products.
In this regard, he said the management of public and private universities must cooperate in providing training for skills in the areas of financial management, packaging and marketing services to its graduates.
At the same time the state government is willing to help these institutions to implement entrepreneurship programs in an effort to increase the number of young entrepreneurs in this country.
