Professor Dr Hassan Ali, currently the director of Co-Operative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI) has been named the deputy vice-chancellor for both academic and international of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). The new vice-chancellor was appointed by the Minister of Education, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd.
During the appointment, UUM's deputy vice-chancellor for student affairs and alumni, Assoc. Prof. Dr Abdul Malek bin Abdul Karim expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the university's former deputy vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Rosna binti Awang Hashim, for having served her term.
She has been teaching and engaging in research since 1989 at UUM.
