Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) reappoints Sahol Hamid as VC

Tan Sri Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar has been reappointed as the vice-chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) for the next two  years.

Turning 60 tomorrow, Tan Sri Dr Sahol Hamid was first appointed UiTM VC in January 2010. He was reappointed for two-year term in January 2011. He has a master's in Economics and master's in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, US, and a doctorate from the University of Sussex, UK.

His reappointment is expected to help the university to continue to produce high quality graduates as well as contribute to community and national development.
