  • The University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad have launched a joint BSc programme in food engineering. The programme is being run through videoconferencing.

The joint efforts by these universities will help address the issues related to food in both countries. The programme aims to produce trained food engineers at par with international standards. Aside from launching a joint programme, a collaborative research project is also being considered to help resolve the world's food industry challenges.
