Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) make it to Times Higher Education top 100 universities in emerging economies

Two Malaysian public universities have made it to the top 100 universities in emerging economies of the Times Higher Education. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) took the 77th spot while Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) got the 95th spot.

Twenty-three (23) of China's universities made it to the list which includes Peking University and Tsinghua University, to name a few. The next best represented countries are Taiwan (21), India (10), Turkey (seven), then South Africa and Thailand (five each).
