Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has made a development agreement with Konsesi Kota Permatamas Snd Bhd. The contract worth RM230 million includes a housing project for the university's Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Faculty of Business Management and the Faculty of Information Studies.
The construction of the campus is on a 32.37-hectare lot situated 14 kilometres from Rembau. Construction is scheduled to begin next September and completed in September 2016. The new campus is expected to accommodate 3,000 students in the faculties and about 1,500 students for the hostel facilities.

Brahim's is Malaysia's household name for shelf-stable, pouched convenience food items. The exposure and training given to the students can help to improve employability of graduates from this university that not only have the knowledge but also the necessary soft skills.
The signing of the memorandum was executed by the Vice Chancellor, YBhg Dato 'Sri Prof Ir Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar and Chairman of the Execuitve Group of Brahim's Holdings Berhad, YBhg Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad Badawi.
