Technical committee to look into university enrolment based on UEC

- A technical committee has been set up to study issues raised that Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) should also be considered for university entrance.
- There were complications experienced by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) during its evaluation of the qualification as it does not follow the national education syllabus.
- The matter was raised after 50 students were given the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) grants based on their excellent UEC results. The total amount in grants were RM2.5 million.
