SPM leavers rush to fill 800,000 jobs

Bernama has reported that The Public Service Commission (PSC) received more than 880,000 online applications for jobs in the public sector during the first two months of this year.

Chairman of PSC, Mahmood Adam described it as an overwhelming response, especially among Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school leavers.

Commenting on the position of 50,000 contract personnel in the public service, he said they were appointed based on vacancies of posts in the public service.
