New assessment tool for SPM/STPM/equivalent for public varsity application

Unit Pusat Universiti (UPU) has introduced a new system in an effort to reduce the number of school leavers who are not satisfied when failing to obtain their preferred courses at local universities.

School leavers can now enter their information and the system will show a programme they are eligible for and may enable them to be admitted to a public university (IPTA).

Deputy Education Minister P. Kamalanathan said the system is designed to reduce dissatisfaction among applicants who fail to obtain a course of their choice shuld they barely meet the minimum qualifications.

The system is accessible here for SPM, STPM and Matriculation leavers interested in obtaining a Diploma, First Degree (excluding UiTM, UM and USM) and Foundation programmes.
