The MoU appoints SEGi as the Exclusive Education Partner in organising and providing public forums worth RM500,000.00 to impart business knowledge to women in Malaysia. These forums will be held across the nation and will provide a platform for women in leadership positions to share their experiences to all who endeavour to be just as successful as they are.
The ceremony also saw the launch of the WEFO – SEGi Scholarship Fund worth RM250,000.00 to assist Malaysian women to improve their quality of life by obtaining higher education qualification, through SEGi’s unique online campus called PACE (Professional and Continuing Education), where they can pursue executive diplomas and Bachelor’s degrees.
In the first series of engaging forums to encourage women to embrace leadership, innovation, family and philanthropy, the keynote address was delivered by YBhg. Tan Sri Rafidah.
She shared her thoughts on leadership, which also includes women in leadership positions. YBhg. Tan Sri Rafidah also stressed the importance of leadership by example and teaching people to be leaders. “It’s not about counting leaders, but having leaders that count,” she said.
